So our fourth appearance on The Radio Chick live video webcast is tomorrow between 6pm and 7pm.
Leslie Gold has been really amazing during this whole promotion by going the extra mile to help spread the word of the Savage Hot Babe Massacre project.
Will we come back after this? Who knows?
Rob and I (that'd be me ... Steve) have a lot of other ideas to continue this storyline going.
- More Savage Hot Babe auditions.
- More field reports featuring interviews and behind-the-scenes video
- Debuts of Savage Hot Babe themed short films
... and lots more.
So for now, we're just taking this one show at a time. So sign up for free at Shovio.com and support us in the chat room.
This week's show will feature at least three videos from the footage we shot at Mick Foley's recent book signing at The Book Revue in Huntington, NY.
Rob (the director, Matt (the producer) and I (the writer dude) showed up and were treated like royalty by the staff at Book Revue. High marks all around for these people. It was much appreciated.
I got the chance to set up some interview questions from the assembled fans. My idea was to sort of recreate on video what I used to do at was once known as WWF NY ... where I first met Mick.
I used to host and produce live interview segments at this GiNormous entertainment complex once owned by the WWE and now houses the Hard Rock in Times Square.
I gathered together lots of really great questions, doing my best to avoid questions like, "What's it like to be thrown off a cage?" or "I like it when you get hit in da head ... does it hurt?"
Honestly, a lot of the fans had some really great questions and I gathered at least eight of them. Then we had Rob come out with the camera and get some video of people asking these questions.
Mick finally arrived after being stuck in traffic for about 3 hours, driving in the rain all the way to eastern Long Island from NYC. Gotta respect the dedication of this man.
I did my usual, "Hey Mick!" greeting as he checked email before the Q&A, while also taking the time out to meet some special needs kids and talk to a woman involved with one of his many charity organizations.
What's great is watching how Mick interacts with these people.
Mick finally had a moment to step into the back room where Rob was set up and decided to sit down for the interview. I could see how tired he was from a crazy day of promoting his new book Countdown to Lockdown ... NOW AVAILABLE IN A BOOK STORE NEAR YOU!!!
I know that Mick will appreciate the plug and cheap pop.
Mick took the time to give a personal message to Leslie Gold, tossing in a few jokes here and there, then I stood behind the camera, reading aloud the questions from the fans. He had some great responses and you'll get the chance to check them out during the show.
Once that was done, Mick was ready to meet the fans and proceeded to interact with the packed house of book buyers and Foley fans.
Mick even turned to me during his apperance, asking me how long it's been since he finally figured out how to use his computer! He also acknowledged my signature laugh (known to many in the stand-up comedy community once I find something funny.)
Mick got a text during his talk and then said, "Oh no! I have to leave! .... NAH!!" Thus faking out the entire crowd and inducing a loud laugh from me.
See? Mick can act!
With the Q&A over, it was time to have people line up for the book signing.
Gotta tellya, I had a damn fun time interviewing people on line. Some were very serious, some were kids, and some were just downwright wacky.
Rob is currently assembling those videos now and you'll be able to see them between 6pm and 7pm tomorrow on Leslie's show.
Now, if you're reading this after the fact, then just head over to the Savage Hot Babe Massacre website to catch the archived version.
What's next for Savage Hot Babe Massacre?
More details on that to come!
